Set within another hard-worn region of ChromaSpyke’s far-future Earth, Default State follows Niko into a world of extraction, fractured loyalties, and systems that don’t easily let go of what they claim. As the serial progresses, it does more than tell a self-contained story. It offers a look into a different corner of the ChromaSpyke universe, revealing new terrain, new pressure points, and new implications for things only partially seen in earlier works.
