While everyone is focused on selling you on their Black Friday discounts right now, Arkhelian is doing something different. Yes, we have awesome books for you to purchase for your friends and family for the holidays, but there’s more than that going on over here.
You may have noticed we’re hard at work writing new stories and playtesting our new ttRPG. While we continue to expand our universes and pin down the optimal rules via playtesting, we’re also keenly aware of the need for artwork.
This winter, Arkhelian is going into a blackout. New imagery is incoming. Readers will see a shift in cover art for out books. The website will see waves of visual updates. And there will be some new items appearing in the store that reflect some of the new artwork.
This move has been in the works since last winter and isn’t without significant costs and risk for the studio, but we believe it’s the right move and the right time. We’re an independent studio. No investors. No corporate overlords. And so, creating original artwork is expensive and a substantial allocation of time — time that could be spent on writing, for example.
We have a roadmap, and we’re executing it. The studio will become a place of written storytelling, as well as visual storytelling. If you see visuals moving around, please be patient as we enter a new stage of worldbuilding.
